📋 Getting your test results
- If your test results show that you need further tests or treatment, we will contact you
- Once a doctor has reviewed your results, you can view them:
- In your NHS App or NHS account
- In your online services account
- By contacting us online
- If unable to access the above, call reception on 01582 767821
❓ Questions about your results
- If you have questions or would like to discuss your results, please contact us online
- A GP will review your request and advise on the next steps
- Some results can take time to be returned to us, so please be patient
- As soon as results are received and reviewed, they will be visible in your GP health record
- You can find your results in the NHS App under:
Your health → GP health record → Test results
🏥 Tests arranged by a hospital or consultant
- If your test was arranged by a hospital or consultant, the result will be sent directly to them
- They are responsible for reviewing and informing you of the result
- We are unable to access these results until they have been reviewed by the hospital team
- Some hospitals allow results to be viewed via:
- The NHS App
- Patients Know Best
- If you cannot find your result:
- Please contact the hospital or consultant directly
- We are unable to chase these results on your behalf
🎗️ National screening programmes
- Results for national screening tests are managed by national NHS screening services
This includes:
- Cervical screening (smear tests)
- Bowel cancer screening (faecal occult blood tests)
- Breast screening
- Results are sent directly to you by post or via national systems
- These results may not always appear immediately in your GP record
If you have not received your result, please contact the relevant screening service.
